MCH is a school, not a daycare. Our admissions procedures more closely reflect those of other independent schools than a traditional daycare. All prospective families are required to visit our school before submitting an application. Enrollment is rolling and on a first come, first served basis. We do keep a waitlist in case of unexpected openings.
Enrollment Process
Step #1: Read our ABAR Commitment & Values Statement
Anti-bias, antiracist (ABAR) education supports all children’s full development in our multiracial, multilingual, multicultural world and gives them the tools to stand up to prejudice, stereotyping, bias, and eventually to institutional ‘isms’. If your family would like to join us in this work, please proceed to Step #2.

Step #2: Initial Interest

Step #3: School Visit
After you have contacted the school, we’ll follow up to schedule a visit to our school. This visit is for adults only. You will receive an Initial Family Questionnaire and an Application for Admission. These must be completed and returned to the school before the admission process can proceed.
Step #4: Application for Admission
After your School Visit, an Application for Admission may be submitted.
Step #5: Classroom Observation (Observations are on hold due to COVID-19 precautions)
Upon receipt of your application and questionnaire the office will reach out to schedule a formal observation in your child’s potential classroom. We feel it is extremely important that caregivers see first hand what their child’s day might be like by observing in the classroom. Observations also tend to elicit important questions that should be answered before your child starts.
Step #6: Admission Decision
Once you have observed in your child’s potential environment and turned in all the necessary forms, the school will notify you of our admission decision. If accepted, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance, Registration Form, and Student Information Forms, all of which must be signed and returned, along with a non-refundable $250 Registration Fee, to secure your child’s placement. If not returned by the designated date, your child’s placement is forfeited.
After we receive your Registration Fee, you will also be charged a $750 Program Fee, which is due before the child’s first day of school. This one-time fee secures your child’s place at MCH through their Kindergarten year (child turns 5 before September 1st). This fee will be credited back on your last tuition payment of your child’s Kindergarten year. If your child leaves MCH before their Kindergarten year, this fee is forfeited.
Upon completion of the admission process, the school will schedule a new student visit, establish a phase-in schedule, and plan an orientation for the parents/caretakers.
